Personal
Tom Roelandts graduated in mathematics in 1994 at the University of Antwerp. He worked in the private sector for fifteen years, a substantial portion of that time in the space division of a large telecom corporation. One-dimensional digital signal processing in telecom instilled an interest for signal processing in general, and in 2009 Tom switched back to academia. He received a PhD in Physics from the University of Antwerp in 2013. He now combines a voluntary postdoc position at the Vision Lab with being an independent consultant in signal and image processing through his company Impulse Response. He also has a blog.
Research
- Discrete and partially discrete tomography
