Personal

Biography:

BSc

2011 - 2014
Physics, specialized in applied physics
Budapest University of Technology and Economics
Hungary

In my BSc thesis I studied a GPU based PET reconstruction software with a focus on evaluating reconstruction quality in the function of parameters and applied techniques.

MSc

2014 - 2016
Physicist, specialized as a medical physicist
Budapest University of Technology and Economics
Hungary

As a Msc thesis I wrote a software for automatic geometry estimation of a micro-CT device, based on projections of a calibration phantom that consisted of metal balls attached to a PMMA base.

PhD

2016-

From September 2016, I am a PhD student at the Vision Lab, University of Antwerp, Belgium.

Interests

Besides physics, I have a passion for computer science: In my projects above, I've been working with C++, CUDA, MatLab, Qt, JAVA, MySQL, Python, Keras programming languages / software environments.

Research

In my PhD research, I am developing the methodology and the algorithms of ultra fast X-ray image acquisition and processing framework, using in-line (conveyor belt) geometry and 3D model of the scanned objects as a prior knowledge, with a focus on inspecting man-made products individually.

Teaching

Teaching activities:

Reconstruction techniques in medical imaging for MSc students: 2016/17/1
Training School on Algebraic Reconstruction Methods in Tomography (ASTRA Toolbox): 2017 April
