Personal

Biography: 

Ben Jeurissen received an MSc in Computer Science in 2004 and in Biomedical Imaging in 2006. In 2012, he obtained a PhD in Science from the University of Antwerp. From 2012, he worked as a post-doctoral researcher in the imec-Vision Lab, at the Physics department of the University of Antwerp and at The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health in Melbourne, Australia. He is a Junior Fellow of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and specializes in image processing of diffusion MRI data for investigating microstructural tissue organization. In 2023, Ben Jeurissen obtained an ERC Consolidator Grant to study brain microstructure using a data-driven approach. In 2024, he became an Associate Research Professor at the Department of Physics of University of Antwerp to work on Medical imaging and analysis with a focus on quantitative MRI.
