Workshop on processing multi-shell diffusion MRI data using MRtrix3
The very first Belgian workshop on processing diffusion MRI data using MRtrix3 will be held at the University of Antwerp on September 23 and will feature Dr. Jacques-Donald Tournier (Division of Imaging Sciences & Biomedical Engineering, King's College London), the original architect and lead developer of MRtrix, on the faculty! Don't miss this opportunity and register here.
Content
MRtrix3 provides a comprehensive set of tools to perform diffusion-weighted MRI white matter tractography in the presence of crossing fibres, using spherical deconvolution, and a probabilistic streamlines algorithm.
Faculty
Dr. Jacques-Donald Tournier (Division of Imaging Sciences & Biomedical Engineering, King's College London) - architect and lead developer of MRtrix3
Dr. Ben Jeurissen (Vision Lab, Dept. of Physics, University of Antwerp) - contributor of MRtrix3
Target audience
This course is aimed at neuroscience researchers new to the MRtrix3 toolbox (no previous experience required) and want to learn how to process their diffusion MRI data using MRtrix3. Attendees are invited to bring their own laptop and data sets. The course is primarily aimed at researchers from Belgian research institutes (and will only be advertised there).
Preparatory reading
We strongly recommend that people with no previous experience of UNIX read at least the first 5 sections of A Basic UNIX Tutorial. In particular you should know how to navigate and manipulate the filesystem and run basic shell commands.
